About the host: Dr. Almad is a neuroscientist with deep understanding of the role of the non-neuronal cells called 'glial cells' in the central nervous system (CNS) and their interaction with neurons in neurological diseases. Her passion is to develop therapeutic treatments for neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinsons disease and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis.
This podcast aims to explore neurological diseases holistically and bring perspective from clinical, academic, drug development, and patient advocacy viewpoints. Her hope is to bridge the gap between scientific research and public awareness through this podcast; bringing a deeper understanding of neurological diseases and addressing questions that patient families struggle with.
